Heron Drums is now based in Leitrim, in the north-west of Ireland, and is gradually resuming work on Shamanic Drums, Drumming Circles and soon Bespoke Orders and Drum Birthing Workshops.

The sound of your Shamanic Drum can be affected by the temperature and humidity. When it is colder and damper, it is likely that your drum will sound flat. To find out more about how to care for your drum, in terms of storage, transport, conditioning and playing outdoors, click here.

However, a drum not sounding right, or becoming really flat, could be a sign that there has been more serious damage to it. To find out how to identify this, and about repairs, click here

We are mindful of where we source our hides from, and ensure that none of our hides come from animals that have been farmed for meat. Our Horse hides come from privately owned, very much loved animals that have died naturally. Our Stag and Reindeer hides come from wild culled herds, where their hides are usually discarded.
